Episode 5: The importance of transparency
In this episode, David and Warren talk with Lindsey Marchessault, Director of Data and Engagement at the Open Contracting Partnership, and member of the board of the Canadian Chapter of Transparency International.
Despite the continued efforts of dedicated open government campaigners, transparency advocates and reformers, just 3% of public procurement records are published openly. Lindsey talks about the importance of stepping up efforts through practical actions that can be taken, to improve transparency in public procurement - one of the largest global markets with an estimated value of US$13 trillion per annum.
